Only one day left of the old year!
Tomorrow we will celebrate the arrival of the year 2016 together with some friends. What I would wish most is: Peace In The World. But exactly that seems to be the most difficult thing. But we do not give up the hope!
Thomas and I will go to the Canary Islands in the beginning of January for two months. That´s a two days trip by Ferry from Cadiz in Southern Spain to Tenerife. We will take a lot of things with us and specially all my painting equipment in our Mobile Home. Hopefully in the beautiful surroundings of the Islands there will come out some kind of art work...
In this blog I like to show some of my new art work and (in most cases) the process of work: How the painting started and how it developed.

Always the feeling: I have been in such a place. Or was it a dream?
During the time of work I was constantly (specially in the nights) thinking of
this place, moving in it, going up and down. It feels familiar to me now.

With a mix of ultramarine blue/white I make visible where the sea meets the mountain, where the waves break on the steep rocks and my brush makes a blur (a blurring wash) to fill the air with spray. |
